The meeting, which lasted for more than three hours, focused on public safety, crime prevention and the overall security situation in Delhi. Senior police officers briefed the Home Minister on ongoing investigations, law enforcement measures and the challenges facing the force.
The review comes amid growing scrutiny of the Delhi Police's handling of public demonstrations and other law-and-order challenges. According to reports, discussions covered the police response to recent protests, measures to prevent criminal activities and steps to strengthen public security.
The fight against drug trafficking, action against criminal gangs operating from abroad and the prevention of crimes against women were among the key issues expected to feature in the discussions.

The review also comes ahead of a proposed Congress-led opposition rally at Ramlila Maidan on November 1. The planned gathering, along with recent demonstrations in Delhi, has increased the importance of security planning and traffic management in central areas of the city.
During the meeting, Shah reviewed the performance of the Delhi Police and its ongoing law-enforcement initiatives. The discussions provided an opportunity to assess operational challenges and examine how police personnel are responding to emerging security concerns.
The Home Minister also acknowledged the efforts of Delhi Police personnel in maintaining law and order, according to India Today.
The presence of Chief Minister Rekha Gupta alongside senior police officials highlighted the importance of coordination between the Centre, the Delhi government and law-enforcement agencies in addressing security concerns.
As the national capital prepares for major public gatherings and the festive season, the authorities face the task of maintaining public order while ensuring that citizens can exercise their democratic rights peacefully.
The high-level review underscores the government's focus on strengthening policing, improving security preparedness and addressing crime-related challenges in Delhi. Further measures will depend on the authorities' assessment of the situation and the implementation of decisions arising from the meeting.
