Zillar Barta Desk : England have finalised their squads for the upcoming white-ball series against Sri Lanka, with Harry Brook set to captain both the T20I and ODI teams. The two sides will play three T20Is and three ODIs in England, beginning on September 15.
Jamie Overton returns to both squads after missing England's recent white-ball series against India because of a thigh injury. Meanwhile, Aneurin Donald has received his maiden senior call-up for the T20I series, while uncapped Sussex seamer Henry Crocombe has been selected for the ODI squad.
England will be without Phil Salt, who is unavailable because of a right-quad injury, while Jacob Bethell continues his rehabilitation following knee surgery. Brydon Carse has also been left out of the white-ball squads amid ongoing investigations following an incident in Derby.
The T20I squad includes Jofra Archer, Gus Atkinson, Jos Buttler, Liam Dawson, Ben Duckett, Will Jacks, Adil Rashid and Josh Tongue alongside Brook and the newcomers. The ODI squad features Joe Root and Henry Crocombe, with Brook again leading the side.
The series will provide both teams with an important opportunity to test combinations and give emerging players international experience ahead of their next major white-ball assignments.
